We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive schools across Redhill. These are full-time positions, offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while making a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Support pupils both academically and emotionally to help them reach their full potential.
- Encourage positive behaviour and build strong, trusting relationships.
- Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people (school, care, nursery, youth work or similar).
- Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Are patient, resilient and adaptable.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
