Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school to appoint a committed and inspiring Teacher of Personal Development and Health & Social Care for a full-time position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is dedicated to supporting young people’s personal growth, wellbeing, and preparation for adult life, alongside delivering engaging and relevant Health & Social Care content. The school promotes a strong culture of respect, inclusion, and ambition, recognised for its focus on pupil wellbeing, positive behaviour, and preparing students with the knowledge and skills needed for further education, employment, and life beyond school. Leadership places high value on staff development, collaboration, and maintaining high expectations across the curriculum.

The Role:

  • Teaching Personal Development and Health & Social Care across the secondary age range
  • Delivering a curriculum that supports PSHE, citizenship, careers education, safeguarding awareness, and life skills
  • Planning and delivering engaging, accessible, and well-structured lessons
  • Marking, assessment, and tracking pupil progress
  • Promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and personal responsibility
  • Supporting students’ understanding of health, wellbeing, relationships, and society
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and inclusive department
  • Contributing to wider school duties and enrichment opportunities

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS preferred)
  • Experience or strong subject knowledge in Personal Development, PSHE, Health & Social Care, or related subjects
  • Passionate about pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and personal growth
  • Able to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Committed to inclusive practice and high standards of teaching and learning
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
