This will help you demonstrate your understanding of how to tailor your approach to meet individual needs during the interview.

✨Showcase Your Experience

Be ready to share specific examples from your past experiences working with children or young people. Highlight any tutoring, mentoring, or care roles you've had, and explain how these experiences have prepared you for the SEN Tutor role. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your responses.

✨Build Rapport

During the interview, focus on building a connection with the interviewer. Show your caring and patient nature by actively listening and responding thoughtfully. This is crucial for a role that involves fostering trusting relationships with pupils and families, so let your personality shine through!

✨Prepare Questions

Have a few thoughtful questions ready to ask at the end of the interview. Inquire about the support systems in place for tutors, the training opportunities available, or how they measure student progress. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you assess if it's the right fit for you.
