Learning Support Assistants (Pastoral & TA roles): £14.75+ per hour

Teachers: MPS/UPS (£32,916 – £51,048)

Teaching Personnel are working with SEND schools and specialist provisions across Andover and the surrounding Hampshire area to recruit qualified Teachers and Learning Support Assistants. We have multiple opportunities available for candidates ready to start immediately and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs. These roles include both pastoral support positions and classroom-based Teaching Assistant (TA) roles, within supportive and inclusive school settings across Andover and nearby areas such as Whitchurch, Stockbridge, and Tidworth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, SEND-focused lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
  • Work closely with LSAs, SENCOs, and the wider school team
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide pastoral support to pupils, promoting wellbeing, behaviour, and emotional development
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Support children with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs
  • Help create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experienced LSAs, Teaching Assistants, or candidates with pastoral care experience
  • Individuals passionate about supporting pupils in SEND settings
  • Candidates who hold an enhanced child-only DBS (or are willing to obtain one)
