A well-regarded and supportive specialist SEMH setting in Andover is seeking to appoint a committed and resilient SEN Teacher to join its dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to work with pupils aged 4–16, primarily within the primary phase, with the potential to support secondary-aged learners where appropriate.
The successful candidate will teach small classes of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom may also have additional learning difficulties and be working below age-related expectations. The setting provides a highly structured, nurturing, and therapeutic environment designed to support pupils both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH needs.

- Adapt learning activities and curriculum content to support pupils working below age-related expectations.
- Develop positive and consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement, confidence, and progress.

- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, therapists, and external professionals.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress accurately, both academically and socially/emotionally.
- Support pupils’ personal development, resilience, and emotional wellbeing alongside academic achievement.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support for pupils.
