Starting from September, this programme is ideal for those who want to gain direct school experience before committing to a PGCE or formal teacher training.

You will work in a school setting, supporting teachers and students, experiencing and gaining first-hand insight into what being a teacher is really like! This is a great opportunity to build the confidence and skills needed to progress into training.

The Role

  • Successful applicants will be placed in Secondary Schools in the Andover area as a Cover Supervisor!
  • Covering lessons during short-term teacher absences
  • Supervising students while they complete pre-set work
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour
  • Ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all pupils
