Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant (1:1 ALN Support) Primary School – Ammanford

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Ammanford to recruit a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a full-time 1:1 role, supporting a pupil with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). This is a rewarding opportunity for a patient, caring and committed individual who has an understanding of ALN and is passionate about helping children thrive in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with ALN
- Supporting learning, communication and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher and ALNCo
- Creating a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
- Experience or understanding of ALN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH)
- Patient, empathetic and reliable
- Able to commit full time until the end of the academic year
