Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Classroom Assistants to work with a variety of Schools within the SA71, SA73 & SA70 areas. The schools have excellent facilities and they take pride in sharing the successes of their students.

Role Overview: As a Classroom Assistant you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with a wide range of needs, including those with additional learning needs (ALN). Your role will involve providing tailored support to students in the classroom, helping them engage with the curriculum, and ensuring they reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they are fully engaged and making progress.
  • Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities in line with students’ individual needs and abilities.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, providing a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Support students during activities, helping them to develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Liaise with teaching staff and other professionals to monitor student progress and update learning plans.
  • Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom materials to enhance learning.
  • Provide personal care and support as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
