We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive Primary School for a Teaching Assistant / Administration Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual who enjoys working with children and supporting the day‑to‑day operations of a busy school environment.
Teaching Assistant Duties
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Work with pupils on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups to support learning.
- Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
- Assist in preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
- Support pupils with additional educational needs when required.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Administration Duties
- Provide administrative support to the school office.
- Answer telephone calls and deal with enquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate pupil records and update school systems.
- Assist with attendance monitoring and reporting.
- Prepare school correspondence, letters, and documentation.
- Support the organisation of meetings, events, and school communications.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working with children and/or within an administrative role.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A professional, flexible, and proactive approach.
