We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Accrington. This full-time position will involve working closely with the SENCo and class teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to support pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCo and teaching staff to plan and implement adapted learning activities
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Adapt classroom resources to meet varying abilities and learning needs
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback to staff
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEN pupils in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and support strategies
  • Ability to adapt learning effectively for a range of abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach

This is a full-time, consistent role for the full academic year with the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive primary school. Valuable experience working alongside an experienced SENCo is provided, along with competitive rates of pay.
