Part-Time HLTA - Primary School in Accrington

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a part-time role within a supportive primary school?

We are currently looking for a confident, enthusiastic and reliable HLTA to support one of our primary schools in the Accrington area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or qualified HLTA who enjoys taking on additional responsibility while still working closely with pupils across the primary age range.

As a Part-Time HLTA, your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering planned lessons and activities to whole classes
• Providing PPA and class cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Leading small-group interventions in Maths, English and Phonics
• Providing targeted support to pupils who may need additional help
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining established routines
• Adapting activities to meet different abilities and learning needs
• Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to class teachers
• Encouraging pupils to become confident and independent learners
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Hold an HLTA qualification/status or have extensive experience working at HLTA level
• Have previous experience working within a primary school
• Are confident leading a class and delivering pre-planned lessons
• Have strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Are enthusiastic, patient and adaptable
• Are committed to supporting children to achieve their full potential
• Are looking specifically for part-time work
