We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school setting in Accrington, working closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, helping them to access education and reach their full potential.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Support with classroom management and daily routines
Qualifications and Skills:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with children with SEN
- Strong understanding of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
