We’re looking for a caring, patient, and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a non‑verbal child 1:1 in a primary school setting. If you’ve worked with SEND children or used PECS, Makaton, AAC, or sign language, this could be the most rewarding role you take on.

Responsibilities

  • Support one child throughout the school day
  • Use alternative communication tools to unlock learning
  • Build confidence, independence, and social skills
  • Work closely with teachers and specialists
  • Experience with SEND or non‑verbal children
  • Calm, compassionate, can‑do attitude
  • Communication tools experience (a bonus, not essential)
