Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated full-time 1:1 Classroom Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a Year 7 pupil in one of our partnered Secondary schools. This role focuses on helping the student build confidence, settle into their new school environment, and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

As a 1:1 Classroom Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated support to a Year 7 pupil
  • Assist with classroom engagement and learning
  • Help build confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Support the pupil in settling into a new school environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure the best outcomes

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people (e.g., education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring)
  • Have an interest in sport or coaching as a way to engage and motivate students
  • Be committed to improving pupil engagement, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and compassionate approach
  • Have a genuine passion for helping young people succeed!

Requirements

Must be willing to obtain (at your own cost) or already hold the following. Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • At least two professional references covering 24 months
  • Be aged 18 or over
