We have exciting opportunities for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and recently qualified teachers to join a range of welcoming mainstream primary schools across Worcester from September 2026. These roles are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, offering flexibility to suit your availability. We also offer long-term placements, including full academic year roles and fixed-term contracts, with many schools providing high-quality induction programmes, named mentors and protected PPA time to support your professional development.

As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive. Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2) and mixed-age classes, depending on your experience and preferences. You will plan and deliver lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum, assess pupil progress and work collaboratively with school staff to support excellent educational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour to maintain a productive learning atmosphere
  • Assessing, monitoring and adapting teaching to support pupil progress
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff and senior leaders
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development

Candidate Requirements

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Are Early Career Teachers (ECTs), recently qualified teachers or those completing their induction
  • Have a genuine passion for teaching and supporting children's learning
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Are enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality education
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
  • Can provide two professional references covering teacher training placements and/or recent employment
