Supply Bank is working closely with a Secondary Mainstream school in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to support the school when teachers are absent and help ensure the school day runs smoothly.
This hands-on classroom role is ideal for individuals considering a future in teaching, returning to education, or looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school setting without the full responsibilities of lesson planning and marking.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead classrooms using pre-prepared lesson materials, meaning no lesson planning is required. Your focus will be on maintaining a calm and structured learning environment where students remain engaged and learning continues effectively.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Following the school’s behaviour policy to maintain a positive learning environment
- Supporting students with their classwork, including those with additional learning needs
- Delivering pre-set work clearly and ensuring lessons run smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Right to work in the UK (e.g. passport or BRP with a valid share code)
- An Overseas Police Check if you have lived abroad
- Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and confidence managing a classroom
- A calm, professional approach, even in busy situations

- Training or qualifications in education, childcare, or youth work
