Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant - Wigan
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Wigan primary school who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide additional support within their Early Years provision.
The role will involve supporting a child with additional needs, helping them access learning and develop their confidence and independence.
The role:
- Supporting a child within Nursery or Reception
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting communication, interaction and learning
- Helping with routines and transitions
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Encouraging independence and positive relationships
We're looking for:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND
- Experience within Early Years is highly desirable
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication skills
- Someone who can build a positive relationship with the child
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced TA, Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner looking to develop their experience within SEND.
