Are you a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Weymouth?
A lovely school in the Weymouth area is looking for a General Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their team from after October half term. The successful candidate will be based primarily within Reception, supporting children with their learning, development and day-to-day classroom routines.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to become part of a welcoming and supportive school environment.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
- Working with children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supporting children's social, emotional and communication development.
- Assisting with classroom activities and daily routines.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and independence.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff.
- Supporting the general needs of the Reception classroom.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working within Early Years or KS1 is preferable.
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic when working with young children.
- Confident supporting children both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, proactive and adaptable.
- Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational setting is desirable.
- A DBS registered on the Update Service is preferable, although candidates without one may still be considered subject to the relevant safeguarding checks.
