Salary: 95-110 per day, depending on qualifications and experience

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist setting in the Wellingborough/Rushden area.

This rewarding role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and communication needs, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with Autism and communication difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and independence.
  • Implement individual learning plans and EHCP targets.
  • Use visual aids, communication tools, and structured routines to support learning and engagement.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism and communication needs.
  • Understanding of strategies to support pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to supporting children.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
