We are looking to appoint a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our lovely primary school in Waterlooville. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with special educational needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence and thrive both academically and emotionally within a nurturing school environment.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and/or in small groups
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and inclusion
- Assisting with learning activities and adapting resources where needed
Requirements / Qualifications
- Has experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Is patient, compassionate and committed to supporting every child’s needs
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Works well as part of a team and uses initiative
