Teaching Assistant – Part Time – Warrington – October 2026 Start
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Warrington is looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils within KS1.
This role is ideal for someone seeking morning hours while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom.
You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning activities, provide additional support where required, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Assisting with phonics, reading, and early literacy development
- Helping to prepare classroom resources
- Supporting behaviour management strategies
- Encouraging pupil engagement and participation
We are looking for someone who
- Has previous experience working with children or in a school setting
- Is patient, enthusiastic, and proactive
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
