Are you a fluent Welsh speaker looking for a rewarding role in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Unit within a school in Ammanford.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to achieve their full potential. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you'll help create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
- Supporting pupils through the medium of Welsh
- Working one-to-one and in small groups with learners
- Supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

What We're Looking For
- Fluent Welsh language skills (desirable)
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience supporting children is beneficial but not essential
