Student Wellbeing Mentor
Do you enjoy supporting young people and helping them succeed?
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Student Wellbeing Mentor for a secondary school in Cwmbran. You'll provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils between the ages of 11-16 with ALN and behavioural needs, helping them stay engaged, build confidence, and overcome barriers to learning.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference while gaining valuable experience in education.
We are looking for educators that have experience working with young people in areas such as:
- Education or classroom support
- Coaching or sports
- Youth work
- Care and support work
- Mentoring or tutoring
- Camp leading
- Any other transferable experience supporting children or young people must be demonstrated at interview!
No two days are the same, but the impact you make will be!
Requirements
The ideal candidate will also require the following: (We can help you obtain the below as part of the registration process)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Education Workforce Regulation registration (EWC)
- Aged 18 and over
- Level 2 Safeguarding course (completed as part of your onboarding)
- 2 professional based references which cover a 24-month period (or equivalent)
