Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Walsall area from
September 2026 .
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking the lead, building positive relationships with young people, and making a genuine difference in the classroom every day.
This role is perfect for an experienced HLTA or a highly skilled Teaching Assistant with an equivalent qualification who is ready to take on greater responsibility.
- What You'll Be Doing
- No two days are the same. You'll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning by:
- Delivering lessons and supervising classes in the absence of the teacher.
- Supporting students both in the classroom and through small-group interventions.
- Working alongside teaching staff to help raise achievement and engagement.
- Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
- Helping to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
We're Looking For Someone Who
HLTA qualification or an equivalent Level 4 qualification.
- Has experience working with secondary school students .
- Is confident leading a class and supporting learning across different subjects.
- Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues.
- Is adaptable, proactive and passionate about education.

- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
