Your role as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant will include:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and creative lessons.
- Working one-to-one and with small groups to boost confidence and attainment.
- Supporting pupils with SEND and those requiring additional intervention.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school’s values of respect, compassion and kindness.
- Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
- Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum interventions.
- Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative tasks.
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes when required.
- Providing pastoral support to help pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient and caring approach.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent).
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn, develop and embrace new challenges.
Desirable:
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, sports coaching, youth work or voluntary setting.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
