About the Role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons.
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupil engagement.
- Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
- Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND where appropriate.
- Supervising pupils during lessons, breaktimes and educational activities.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to adapt to different schools and classroom environments.
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children's wellbeing.
Previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs is beneficial but not essential.

- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be able to provide two professional references covering the past two years.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
