TP Tutors are looking for highly experienced teachers with QTS to deliver fun and creative 1:1 sessions to children with SEN. The pay rate for this role is £25-£30 per hour.

To become a Tutor with TP Tutors you will need:

  • QTS
  • At least 10 hours of daytime availability, Monday to Friday (ideally more due to demand)
  • At least 5 years' experience teaching and assessing English and/or Maths and/or Science in primary and/or secondary schools
  • 100% passion for education, commitment, reliability and honesty
  • To creatively apply differentiated techniques to planning and teaching
  • An excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to use these
  • The ability to deal with possible behaviour issues
  • The ability to work flexibly and attend meetings outside hours if necessary
  • To be a team-worker
  • A valid child-only enhanced DBS check on the update service

You will need to:

  • Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with students’ individual needs
  • Assess and monitor students’ work and feedback to parents and other professionals/individuals
  • Record students' progress and provide grades and written feedback
  • Deliver tailored teaching activities to students on a one-to-one basis
  • Support and assess the social and emotional development of students, reporting any issues as necessary
