All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and typically work at least three years below age-related expectations compared to their mainstream peers. The curriculum is carefully adapted to reflect this and to meet pupils’ individual needs effectively. Most pupils follow a primary-model curriculum, regardless of age, ensuring learning is accessible, structured and appropriately pitched. The school offers adapted learning pathways to ensure all learners can access suitable accreditation. More able students are given the opportunity to sit Foundation Tier GCSEs in core subjects. Other learners work towards Entry Level Certificates, Functional Skills qualifications and Unit Award certificates, aligned to their individual learning profiles and future aspirations. This tailored approach ensures pupils are well prepared for life beyond the setting, including further education, training or supported pathways.

- Hold QTS (or an equivalent UK teaching qualification)
- Have experience working with SEND pupils (mainstream or specialist settings)
- Be confident in adapting teaching approaches and curriculum content
