1:1 Science Tutor – Start Fresh This September Inspire a Love of Science with 1:1 Support
Do you have experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, or Physics? We’re recruiting for Science tutors to work 1:1 with pupils from KS1 to KS4, starting after the summer holidays. You’ll support learners preparing for GCSEs or those who need help grasping core scientific principles. Sessions are delivered face-to-face in homes or community locations, with full flexibility around your schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver individualised sessions in one or more science subjects
- Break down complex topics to support better understanding
- Help build exam readiness and scientific confidence
- Monitor and report on progress to ensure meaningful outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience supporting children or young people, ideally within an educational setting
- Confident in delivering Science to students across KS1–KS4, depending on your subject expertise
- Skilled in adapting lesson content and delivery to suit individual learning styles and needs
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom or behaviour management abilities
- A genuine passion for empowering learners and building their confidence and academic ability
Essential Requirements
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we’re happy to assist)
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing
