As a receptionist within the Student Support Centre, you will be the first port of call for any students that are required to work within the school SSC. It is crucial for this role that you are able to complete the required administrative duties, but that you are equally confident at building rapport with pupils aged 11-16.
As the receptionist in the Student Support Centre, you will have an important role, providing efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the Student Support Officer’s and wider team. Your duties may change from time to time to meet changing circumstances but will include all the duties deemed appropriate to supporting the SSC. These will include general office and reception duties including answering the telephone, electronic filing and scheduling appointments and meetings.
SSC Receptionist Responsibilities:

Managing the SSC Reception desk

Monitoring the schools class charts system for alerts and actioning as appropriate

Registering students sent to the SSC centre and arranging appropriate support or supervision

Supporting the wider student support team

General admin

General telephone support
About the SSC:
The Student Support Centre is available for any students that need help with learning, well-being and attitudes. Although this role is an administrative role, it’s important you are aware that you will be interacting with students who attend the centre for behavioural and well-being needs.

You must be able to commit to a full time position
This is a full time position, beginning 4th November 2024. The hours for this position are 08:15 – 15:30.
This role is initally temporary until August 2025, however if successful in the role you will have the opportunity to join the school on a permanent basis from September 2025., All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
