A welcoming and well-established mainstream secondary school in the BB4 area of Lancashire is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for either a male or female PE specialist to become part of a supportive department and make a positive impact on pupils engagement, achievement and wellbeing through sport and physical education.
The Role
- Full-time PE Teacher position.
- Start date: January 2027.
- Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning, preparing and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Contributing to extracurricular sports activities where appropriate.
- Opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
- Be passionate about promoting participation, teamwork and achievement.
- Have excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Be committed to supporting students of all abilities to reach their full potential.
Competitive rates of pay.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
