A welcoming Primary School in Fulwood, Preston is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis from January 2027.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting young children within an EYFS setting who is passionate about helping children learn, develop, and thrive during their early years of education.
- Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant (EYFS)
- Location: Fulwood, Preston
- Start Date: January 2027
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:25pm
- Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
- Contract: Full Time
Working within the school's Nursery provision, you will support children as they develop key social, emotional, and educational skills through a mixture of structured learning and play-based activities. You will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to create an engaging, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.
Duties may include:
- Supporting children with their learning and development across the EYFS curriculum
- Assisting with indoor and outdoor learning activities
- Encouraging positive social interaction and communication skills
- Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development
- Helping to prepare learning resources and maintain an engaging learning environment
- Observing and recording children's progress where required
- Previous experience supporting children within an EYFS or Nursery setting is essential
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- An Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's development and learning
- A supportive and welcoming Early Years team
- Well-resourced Nursery facilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
