General Cover Teacher – SEMH Provision

We are currently looking for a General Cover Teacher to join an SEMH setting, supporting pupils who may have experienced barriers to education and require a more individualised approach to learning.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building meaningful relationships with pupils and creating a classroom environment where young people feel safe, supported and able to succeed.
What will you be doing?
As a General Cover Teacher, you will:
- Deliver lessons across a variety of subjects and age groups.
- Follow lesson plans and adapt activities where necessary.
- Provide clear, consistent and positive classroom management.
- Develop strong professional relationships with pupils.
- Support pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Encourage engagement, confidence and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Work alongside experienced teachers, support staff and pastoral teams.
- Contribute to a safe, structured and inclusive school environment.
What are we looking for?

- Qualified Teachers or experienced educators.
- Calm, patient and approachable.
- Confident managing challenging behaviour.
- Flexible and able to adapt to different situations.
- Passionate about supporting young people who need additional guidance.
- Consistent in their approach and able to maintain clear boundaries.
- Reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding.
Previous SEMH, SEN, PRU or alternative provision experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
