Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a part-time role within a supportive primary school?
We are currently looking for a confident, enthusiastic and reliable HLTA to support one of our primary schools in the Accrington area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or qualified HLTA who enjoys taking on additional responsibility while still working closely with pupils across the primary age range.
The Role
As a Part-Time HLTA, your responsibilities may include:
- Delivering planned lessons and activities to whole classes
- Providing PPA and class cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Leading small-group interventions in Maths, English and Phonics
- Providing targeted support to pupils who may need additional help
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining established routines
- Adapting activities to meet different abilities and learning needs
- Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to class teachers
- Encouraging pupils to become confident and independent learners
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Hold an HLTA qualification/status or have extensive experience working at HLTA level
- Have previous experience working within a primary school
- Are confident leading a class and delivering pre-planned lessons
- Have strong behaviour and classroom management skills
- Are enthusiastic, patient and adaptable
- Are committed to supporting children to achieve their full potential
- Are looking specifically for part-time work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
