Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Headington, Oxford for the Spring and Summer Terms.

This specialist setting supports children and young people aged 8 to 19 with autism and severe learning difficulties, providing a structured, autism-specific environment where students are supported to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a teacher to lead a Sixth Form class (ages 16-19). While students are of post-16 age, they are working within the Early Years developmental range in terms of cognition and learning. As such, the successful candidate will be able to deliver highly personalised learning opportunities that focus on communication, engagement, independence, functional skills, and preparing young people for adulthood.

You will work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing, positive, and structured learning environment that meets the complex needs of all learners.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN, ASD, SLD, or complex learning needs.
• Early Years experience would be highly desirable, particularly experience supporting learners working within the EYFS framework.
• Alternatively, Primary-trained teachers with experience in Reception, KS1, and SEND are strongly encouraged to apply.
• A patient, adaptable, and creative approach to teaching.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
