We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students across Nottinghamshire (NG12 3JG). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s academic progress, confidence, and overall development during their secondary education.
The Role
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition across core secondary subjects (e.g. Maths, English, Science or Humanities)
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured sessions tailored to individual learning needs
- Support students in closing learning gaps and preparing for GCSEs where appropriate
- Build confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
Requirements
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge relevant to KS3 and/or KS4
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, effective sessions
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, supportive approach
- A genuine commitment to helping young people reach their full potential
