Are you passionate about equipping individuals with essential life skills in English and Maths? TP-Tutors is a leading agency providing high-quality, personalised Functional Skills tutoring across Nottinghamshire. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Functional Skills Tutor (FQT required) to support learners in Nottinghamshire.
This role is available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, delivering 1:1 tuition to help learners build confidence and achieve recognised qualifications.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver engaging and effective 1-to-1 Functional Skills tuition in English and Maths
- Support learners of varying ages and abilities working towards accredited qualifications
- Plan and implement tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Create a supportive environment that builds confidence and independence
- Track progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
What we're looking for:
- Functional Skills qualification (FQT) – required
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills English and Maths
- Strong understanding of Functional Skills curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches for diverse learners
- A current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one and subscribe to the Update Service)
