We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate GCSE Tutor to support a learner in the NE44 area of Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher, experienced tutor, or education professional who is passionate about helping young people achieve academic success.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality GCSE tuition tailored to the student's individual needs.
  • Support progress in core subjects, including English, Maths, and/or Science.
  • Plan engaging lessons that build confidence and encourage independent learning.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback on attainment and engagement.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience teaching or tutoring students at GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the GCSE curriculum.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, anxiety, or those outside of mainstream education is advantageous.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Full right to work in the UK.
