The Design Technology Department

The Design & Technology department is a creative and collaborative team, delivering a practical, skills-focused curriculum across KS3 and KS4. The subject plays a vital role in equipping students with problem‑solving skills, creativity and technical understanding. The department offers opportunities across a range of disciplines, including:

  • Product Design
  • Resistant Materials / Engineering
  • Textiles or other DT specialisms

Teaching spaces are well-resourced, supporting both traditional workshop-based learning and modern design approaches.

The Role

You will:

  • Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4 (specialism flexible)
  • Deliver engaging, practical and well-structured lessons
  • Support students in developing creativity, independence and technical skills
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor and improve progress
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities

Part-time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training.
