About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Motor Vehicle Teacher to join our dynamic Construction and Engineering department in South Norwood. You’ll deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in motor vehicle maintenance and repair, helping learners develop the hands-on skills, technical knowledge, and confidence needed for a successful career in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and assess motor vehicle qualifications (Levels 1–3).
- Deliver practical and theory sessions covering diagnostics, servicing, repair, and maintenance.
- Support learners in developing workshop-based competencies and employability skills.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop.
- Track learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate assessment records.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement across the department.
About You
- Qualified to Level 3 (or higher) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or a related field).
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, or equivalent) or willingness to achieve one.
- Strong, up-to-date industry experience and practical understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and workshop management skills.
- A passion for inspiring learners and supporting them to reach their potential.
