Exams Officer – Temp to Perm Opportunity

Teaching Personnel Liverpool is proud to be supporting one of our valued partnership secondary schools in North Liverpool with the recruitment of an experienced and organised Exams Officer. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, offering the chance to become a key member of a dedicated school team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the planning, administration and delivery of all internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with examination regulations and maintaining the highest standards of organisation and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer all aspects of the school's examination process, including entries, timetables, invigilation and results.
  • Liaise with awarding bodies, school staff, students and parents regarding examination arrangements and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations and examination board requirements at all times.
  • Recruit, train and manage examination invigilators to ensure smooth and effective exam delivery.
  • Maintain accurate examination records, candidate data and secure storage of confidential assessment materials.
  • Support senior leaders with examination analysis, reporting and post-results administration.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working as an Exams Officer or within a school administration role involving examinations.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of JCQ regulations and examination procedures (desirable).
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • A professional, proactive and confidential approach to work.
