The Role
- Deliver engaging and inspiring English Language and English Literature lessons across KS3, KS4 & KS5.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.
- Track and monitor student progress, implementing effective intervention strategies where required.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Support students in achieving excellent outcomes in both coursework and examinations.
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers.
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education.
- Be committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
- Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Have the ability to motivate and inspire young people.
- Be an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous professional development.
- All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
