We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Kirkham seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within a positive school environment.
- Providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Assisting children during lessons to help them remain engaged and on task.
- Working closely with teachers to adapt learning activities where required.
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.
- Encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements.
- Contributing to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Previous experience supporting children in a classroom setting is essential.
- Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting pupils.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Teaching Assistant qualifications are welcomed but not essential.
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.25.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling SEN role within a supportive Kirkham primary school.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
