History Teacher

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our dynamic and thriving partner Secondary School located in Dewsbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality history education to students, fostering a love for the subject and inspiring intellectual curiosity. You will be joining and OFSTED Good School which is renowned for staff retention and satisfaction., 1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective history lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

1. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and critical thinking.

2. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.

3. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.

4. Contribute to the development of the history curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and school objectives.

5. Participate in extracurricular activities, such as history clubs or academic competitions, to enrich the students’ learning experience.

6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

7. A degree in History, Geography or a related field.

8. Proven experience teaching history or Geography at the secondary level.

9. Strong classroom management skills.

10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

11. Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
