Teaching Personnel is looking for confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Farnborough.
Whether you are a graduate exploring teaching, a Teaching Assistant ready to progress, or an experienced professional seeking flexible school-based work, this role offers a valuable opportunity to develop your classroom experience.
The Role
You will supervise lessons when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring students remain engaged with work that has already been prepared.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Leading classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Explaining lesson instructions and expectations
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Creating a calm, inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging students to complete assigned work
- Supporting students with additional needs
- Following individual school policies and procedures
- Providing lesson feedback to teaching staff
Lesson planning and marking are not normally required. Your responsibility will be to provide professional classroom supervision and maintain continuity of learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
