Outdoor Learning Support Assistant - Exeter

Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring and committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to work closely with pupils in schools across Exeter and the surrounding areas.

Pay Rate: £105-£115 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am-4:30 pm
As a SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 or small group support to pupils in outdoor learning sessions
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans in practical settings
- Promote independence, confidence, and engagement through outdoor learning
- Support emotional wellbeing, communication, and behaviour regulation
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and wider support staff to ensure consistent support
We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
- Transferable experience (e.g. care, youth work, outdoor education, family SEND experience)
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine desire to support pupils and develop within education
