Are you a passionate English educator with a desire to make a real difference in the lives of young people with SEND needs? We’re currently recruiting for a dedicated and inspiring Post-16 English Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Plymouth City Centre.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be delivering engaging and accessible Functional Skills English sessions to learners aged 16+, many of whom have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You’ll be working full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:45am – 4:45pm, in a highly collaborative and supportive team environment.
This role offers a temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent after the initial 3-month period.
What We’re Looking For:
- A recognised teaching qualification (or currently working towards one)
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in English (A Level or above)
- A genuine interest in and experience of working with SEND learnersExcellent communication skills and a creative, flexible approach to teaching
