Early Years Specialist - South Bristol - Primary School

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, term time
Are you passionate about early years education and looking for a role where your background really counts? We are working with a primary school in South Bristol who are looking for a dedicated Early Years Specialist to work closely with the Reception teacher and Head of Early Years.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong early years background, whether that's through previous teaching experience, nursery work, a childhood studies degree, or recognised childcare qualifications, who wants to make a real impact in a child's first year of school.
The Role:
- Working closely with the Reception teacher and Head of Early Years to support the EYFS curriculum
- Helping children access learning through play based and structured activities
- Supporting the development of early literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Supporting children's social, emotional and personal development
- Assisting with daily routines, transitions and independence skills
- Contributing to observations and assessments in line with the EYFS framework
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
We Are Looking For:
- A strong early years background, through previous teaching, nursery work, a childhood studies degree or childcare qualifications
- Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
- A warm, patient and encouraging approach
- A genuine passion for early years education and child development
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
