Site Supervisor Required – Secondary School in Darwen
Teaching Personnel are seeking a reliable, proactive and highly organised Site Supervisor to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Darwen from January 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site professional or caretaker who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented school environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the school site, ensuring that pupils, staff and visitors benefit from a clean, compliant and efficient learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the school premises each day.
- Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks.
- Monitoring the security of the school site and responding to any issues.
- Conducting regular health and safety checks and maintaining records.
- Liaising with external contractors and supporting site projects.
- Ensuring school grounds, classrooms and communal areas remain safe and well-maintained.
- Assisting with room setups for meetings, examinations and school events.
- Managing deliveries and supporting the smooth operation of the premises.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience in a site supervisor, caretaker, facilities or maintenance role.
- Possess good practical maintenance and repair skills.
- Have a strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Be dependable, flexible and able to work independently.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
