Classroom Teaching Assistant

Location: Bamber Bridge
Start Date: November 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:50am - 3:20pm
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Contract: Full-Time

A friendly and welcoming primary school in Bamber Bridge is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2026.

This full-time role will involve supporting teaching and learning across the classroom, helping pupils to remain engaged in lessons, and working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Support pupils during whole-class lessons, small group activities, and independent learning tasks.
• Assist the class teacher with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
• Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

• Have previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting.
• Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's development.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be able to use their initiative and adapt to the needs of the classroom.
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
